Ali Pulliam, MS, RD, LD
Ali is a Registered Dietitian by The Commission on Dietetic Registration and a Licensed Dietitian in the state of Kentucky. She earned her master’s degree in 2014 from Eastern Kentucky University in Community Nutrition and her bachelor’s degree in 2012 from Eastern Kentucky University in General Dietetics. A Louisville native, she moved back to Louisville after graduate school in 2014 and began working as a clinical dietitian at The University of Louisville Hospital where she is currently employed. Her reason for becoming a dietitian stems from her passion for wellness, living a healthy lifestyle, and motivating other individuals to do the same. Ali takes a behavioral and realistic approach to nutrition counseling. She helps to make lifestyle changes in others by listening and reflecting on their personal food preferences, habits, lifestyles, support systems, goals, and obstacles. She counsels individuals who are ready to make a lifestyle change, and does not prescribe or promote “diet” to clients. She educates clients on how to think for themselves and make the best choices, rather than telling them what to eat and what not to eat. Ali completed a sports nutrition course in her graduate course work, and as a marathon runner herself, she sees the important role nutrition can have on an athlete and counsels athletes and triathletes as well.
